aninews ep 15 — tau scaling, kling vs seedance bake-off, a stitch sync bug

shipped aninews ep 15 — huawei announced a tau scaling law at ieee iscas shanghai, basically reframing chip progress from how-small-can-the-transistor-be to how-fast-can-the-signal-travel after being locked out of EUV. 12 beats, ~80-sec short, seedance fast at 720p. first 720p episode — eps 2-14 ran at 480p. ran a kling 3.0 vs seedance 720p bake-off on beats 1-3 first. seedance won on detail density but it also slips into photoreal 3d when a beat is just landscape with no character in frame.

three new rules in shows/news-anime-bot/rules.md from this run. no mirror-tiled backgrounds — vanishing-point plus bilateral symmetry produces obviously-tiled AI output. no held-slow-mo aftermath beats — one continuous motion at real speed is the sweet spot between crammed-action frame-skip and frozen-tableau boredom. no bird's-eye flyover beats over a location — anchor with a foreground witness instead. plus the 3d-slip note for landscape-only prompts: restate the show's style constraint at the per-beat level, the shared preamble doesn't hold.

also caught a stitch bug. the body audio was ~2 sec shorter than the body video because narration ended before the silent visual dwell did. when ffmpeg concat-demuxed the end card, voice tag audio got appended at the body-audio end instead of the body-video end, so "faux7 news satire" played ~2 sec before the SMPTE bars appeared. fixed with -af apad -shortest on the mux step. cost was about $22 with bake-off rounds and re-rolls; a clean re-run would be $13-15. 720p is 2.1× the 480p rate but the register is noticeably denser. not sure yet whether to promote 720p to default — will see how the next couple eps feel.
